this is the list. no archive on the web, no searchable interface, no
subscriptions from outside. you are here because one of us put you here.

i keep a copy of everything. that is the only rule i am imposing.

thank you for setting it up.

what i want to discuss here is narrow. not privacy in general, not politics,
not whether any of this is legal where you live. one problem:

    how do you move value between two people who do not know each other
    and do not share a third party they both trust.

everything that has been tried either ends at a bank or ends at a ledger
somebody has to keep. i think there is a third door and i think it is small
enough to walk through.

there is no third door. there has never been a third door in four thousand
years. but i have been wrong about smaller things, so go on.
